Forecasting & Replenishment

Your 2017 Forecasting and Replenishment Forum “Who’s In” Report

March Madness is a phenomenon that grips the national sports psyche from the second week of March through the first week of April.* This series of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments determines the national champions of college basketball.

But before any teams can win the tournaments, they must first be good enough to be invited. Historically 68 men’s teams and 64 women’s teams are granted invitations by the selection committee when March Madness begins on  Selection Sunday.

There are three phases to the process to determine the teams for the tournament:

#1: Select – the 36 best at-large teams;

#2: Seed – the field of 68 teams; and

#3: Place – the teams into the championship bracket.

Much like the NCAA selection committee that chooses teams for the tournaments, the Lanham Associates and Absolute Value teams (along with your input), are responsible for narrowing down the topics to cover at our annual Forecasting & Replenishment Forums.

As you can see from our Forecasting & Replenishment Forum bracket below, when it comes to developing an agenda for our event, you don’t have to pare it down to just one winner.

Consequently, during three days (May 16-18) in San Antonio, TX, Lanham AFP and Absolute Value users will have the opportunity to win it all when it comes to improving their inventory management skills and taking their forecasting and replenishment talents to the next level.
